How to Find Winning Ads in the Meta Ads Library
Short answer: open the Meta Ad Library, search a product word, filter to active ads in your country, and keep the ones whose start date is 30 or more days back โ an ad that keeps getting paid for is the closest public sign that it works. Updated 28 Oct 2026.
Why the start date is the filter that matters
The Meta Ad Library lists ads that are running or have run on Meta's apps, with the date each one started. Advertisers pay for every day an ad runs, so one that is still live weeks later is usually earning its cost. The library does not show sales or spend for ordinary product ads, so run time is a hint, not proof.
How It Works in 3 Easy Steps
No app to install. Everything runs in your mobile browser.
Search a product word
Open the Meta Ad Library, pick a country and 'All ads', then type a product word such as 'dog harness' or 'serum'.
Keep the long runners
Each ad shows when it started running. Keep only ads that started 30 or more days ago and are still active.
Write down the structure
Note the first second, what the product does on screen, the proof and the offer โ then remake that structure with your own product.
Step by step
1) Go to the Meta Ad Library and choose a country and 'All ads'. 2) Search a product word or a competitor's brand. 3) Filter to active ads. 4) Open each ad and read the 'started running' date. 5) Keep ads that started 30 or more days ago and note the advertiser's other ads with similar structure. 6) Save the links so you can come back.
What long-running ads look like in our library
AdExamples keeps a library of Meta ads that were still running after at least 30 days. In the snapshot of 28 Oct 2026 it holds 473 such US ads from 276 advertisers across 9 product categories (supplements, skincare, pet collars and leashes, foundation, hair tools, pet beds and mats, beauty tools, toys, body care). Start dates range from 19 Sep 2023 to 27 Sep 2026. The median ad had run 106 days, 273 of the 473 (58%) had run 90 days or more, and the longest had run 1,134 days. The library is a snapshot of ads we collected, not every ad on Meta.
What the library will not tell you
It does not show sales, spend or conversion rate for ordinary product ads, and a long run can also mean the advertiser simply forgot to switch an ad off. Treat run time as a shortlist, then judge each ad by whether its structure makes sense for your product.
From a found ad to your own
Do not copy the ad. Copy the structure: how the first second grabs attention, how the product is shown working, what proof appears and how the offer closes. AdExamples is built for this step โ the planned ad maker films your own product photo into a 15-second vertical ad with one of four structures. It is not open yet; leave your email below for a single message on the day it is live.

No. We are independent and not endorsed by Meta.
